San Diego Comic Con 2011 – Photos and Cosplay

Casual Comics Guy

January 5, 2014

1–2 minutes

I don’t even know what this is supposed to be. But, they were having a good time, so what they hey!

The Baroness (Black)

The Baroness (Red)

Hoops and Yoyo. I know a guy who knows the guy who created these characters.

Video Game costumes rule – especially the pink ones.

Maybe Nic Cage should wear one of these in the next Ghost Rider movie. Helps control the overacting.

Check out the trooper on the left. Looks like Han at least put up a good fight.

Jedi Madness – with 20% more midriff.

I don’t get the whole Ugly Doll thing, but there must’ve been like six year old kids inside these outfits.

Old school Hawkeye – before Matt Fraction’s cool series launched.

Femme Blue Beetle and Booster Gold.

Nicely done, ladies of DC.

I don’t know that the world needed a Female Rorshach, but here she is.

Push the button, Frank.

Great Tangled cosplay. And, she didn’t have to get this weapon tagged at the door.

A kinder, gentler Destro perfecting the princess wave.

She Galactus – Eater of Worlds

I’d get Hammered with this Thor any day.

This little guy’s Jawa cosplay was pretty cool.

Don’t mess with the Jawas, lady. They’re pretty serious.

The TARDIS lady materialized in the middle of this Disney cosplay group.

I was way into Battlestar in 2011. So say we all!

More sweet Battlestar Galactica cosplay.

Double the Loki. Double the fun.

You got your Wolverine in my Boba Fett…

A great antidote after a day of wading through the anime kids and their “Free Hugs” signs.

Steampunk abounds at SDCC.

I guess this lady was in one of the Star Wars video games, or something? She looked this deadly serious all day.

Double the Aquaman… oh, I already used that one.

Steampunk Flash goes back to the future in style.

I forget who this duo was supposed to be. Any ideas?

Nice old school Captain America cosplay.

This guy has two loves in life. Star Wars and the Miami Dolphins. Fortunately, Lucas can only ruin one of them.

And the reverse – nice!

Some people love comics. Some people live comics.

I wish I had time for that.

Me? I’m just a Casual Comics Guy. These are my observations and questions every time I walk into a comics shop.

This is my comic book blog. It’s not the biggest. It might be the “hottest”, though. And this is my story.
