Monthly Archives: July 2020
On part two of our SDCC At Home coverage, we talk about the highlights from Thursday and Friday. There were some pretty great panels, and you can still check them out online.
Plus, we are super-happy to be joined by Dan Davis, creator of All Luck Comics!
Dan talks to us about the creation of the book, his inspirations, and the status of the upcoming second issue of All Luck Comics. He’s in the middle of an indiegogo fundraiser for the second issue of All Luck Comics. You can finally get a print version of issue #1 and help support the publication of issue #2. Plus, in true indiegogo fashion, there are a ton of goodies available based on your level of support, including some beautiful variant covers.

Day 1 (and a half) of San Diego Comic Con 2020 is in the bag, and it’s a real treat to have these panels available for a virtual con experience.
On the latest podcast, Michael and I talk about the “must have” surrounding experiences for an honest-to-goodness virtual convention. You’ll never be able to replicate the experience of standing in line for three hours to hope for a glimpse of Don Cheadle in Hall H, but there are some things you definitely can do to enhance your own “at home” Comic Con experience.
In addition, we talk about some of the panels we’ve already seen, including the sure to be hilarious upcoming comedy series “Truth Seekers”, starring Nick Frost and Simon Pegg – debuting on Amazon Prime Video this fall. \
We hope you’ll join us this weekend. With only about 100k passes issued this year, SDCC is one of the hardest tickets to get, so to be real, this is the closest some people will ever get to experience the glory of SDCC.
All panels are available for viewing on YouTube after they air, so if there’s something you missed, there’s still time for you to grab a pretzel dog, camp out on your carpet, and enjoy the fun!
Plus, as promised, here’s another flashback cosplay from an SDCC from years gone by.
This year, San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) is hosting an “At Home” edition. For all of you who have never been able to attend in the past, here’s your chance to participate virtually from July 22-26, 2020.
On this episode, Joe and Michael look at the schedule of events and cover each day’s highlights while Joe reminisces about the best of prior Comic Con’s that he’s attended.
Details for attending SDCC At Home are at: https://www.comic-con.org/cci
Watch the panels along with us, and we’ll be recording multiple recaps of what we’re attending and updating you throughout the weekend!
Or look for “Casual Comics Cast” on Apple, Google Play, Spotify, or wherever you normally listen to podcasts!
I’ll also be posting some “Best Comic Con Cosplay” photos throughout the weekend, so check back soon.
